4moms Mamaroo Baby Rocker Review
We bought the 4moms Mamaroo Baby Rocker when our daughter was barely a month old and it was one of the best purchases we made at the time. It is a really great rocker and worked well for naps and for morning quiet time – giving me time to get on with some bits and pieces around the house. What is the 4moms Mamaroo Baby Rocker? The 4moms Mamaroo is a very good quality baby rocker that mimics the movements of parents so your baby can be soothed by rocking in a more natural motion. It has three recline positions and is suitable from newborn upwards to about 9kg or…

Am I The Only One… Who’s Toddler Beats Me Up?
I’m serious. I’ve got bruises, a damaged gum, hair missing and I’ve had a black eye. I read on the baby forums that other parents are struggling with tantrums where their baby hits, punches, scratches etc. and obviously this can be very difficult when your baby is so young (around 18 months) because they don’t really understand being told off and discipline is difficult. However, my daughter hits, scratches, pinches, head butts, pulls my hair and more… but never while she’s having a tantrum. We’re actually very lucky in some respects. She doesn’t really “tantrum” just yet. She has a bit of a moan and she can be a bit…

Mamas and Papas Baby Snug Seat Review
We got the Mamas and Papas Baby Snug Seat when our daughter was about 5 months old. We used it a lot and it was a great buy – even now my daughter is 16 months old, she likes to sit in it herself in the living room and enjoys having somewhere she can climb into to play. What is the Mamas and Papas Baby Snug Seat? The Mamas and Papas Baby Snug Seat is an ergonomic seat designed for young babies to play in. It’s a little bit like a “bumbo” only it’s more ergonomic and therefore better for baby. It has an insert for smaller babies and then…

Halloween Activities For Toddlers & Babies
Halloween is a tricky one when you have a baby. Our daughter is 16 months old so old enough to understand and enjoy some aspects of Halloween but not old enough to do trick or treating. We don’t have any friends with older children so it’s a difficult one to organise. Luckily, I’ve found some Halloween Activities for Toddlers and Babies which I’m excited to try this year and I thought I’d share them with you guys. Crafty Halloween Activities for Toddlers & Babies No Mess Pumpkin Painting I read this idea online here and it’s a really cool way to let toddlers feel involved without creating a huge amount…

Fisher Price 4 in 1 High Chair Review
I spent ages looking for a decent high chair for my little one. I was set on the Fisher Price 4 in 1 High Chair as soon as I saw it. My daughter had other Fisher Price things (the Jumperoo for example) and she loves the rainforest animals so this seemed like the ideal purchase. What is the Fisher Price 4 in 1 High Chair? It’s a high chair that can also be a booster seat, a toddler table and chair and a toddler seat. If you want something that’s going to be versatile and last longer than the standard high chairs do then this is your best bet. We…

Am I The Only One… Who Doesn’t Expect My Baby To Sleep Through?
Obviously, this topic is usually followed with a lot of controversy. Usually because people start talking about sleep training methods or whatever. “Sleeping through” in my view, is a relative term. It depends on how long you class as sleeping through. Some people say it’s 5 hours, others expect a full nights sleep a.k.a 8+ hours. I’m in the “why is everyone so obsessed with this?” camp! My daughter is 16 months old and still wakes probably an average of 2-3 times per night. I’m used to it now but I spent a lot of time when she was around 8-9 months wondering if she would ever “sleep through”. What…

WinFun Activity Table Review
The WinFun Activity Table is a great toy which we managed to get second hand at a mum2mum market. It was a great purchase and to be honest, I’d definitely have paid full price for this thing. What is the WinFun Activity Table? Designed for babies from the age that are just pulling up to stand and maybe cruising all the way to toddler who are discovering new things every day, the WinFun Activity Table is an activity table covered with all sorts of exciting things for a little one to discover, learn and play with. There is a circular alphabet “train track” in the middle (although our second hand…

SPD In Pregnancy: What Is This Horrific Pain?!
Pelvic Girdle Pain or Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction is a condition that affects a lot of women in pregnancy. SPD in pregnancy is pain that is usually in your hips and can be at the front or back of your pubic bone or in your hips and back. It is an extremely painful condition for some and can mean getting around is almost impossible. I was about 18 weeks pregnant when I started getting some pain in my coccyx. I figured it was just because I was doing a bit much or that I’d slept funny or just some new random pregnancy symptom. Turns out it was PGP and it got…

15 Month Old Toddler Breastfeeding Like A Newborn… Help!
So, my daughter is 15 months old and has been breastfed from birth. She was introduced to solids bang on 6 months and has a healthy appetite, eating three meals and two snacks per day. When she was between 10 months and a year old, she had reduced her breastfeeds to about 3 per day. Once in the morning, once before her daytime nap and then bedtime. I still fed her in the night too – anywhere from one to three times. However, probably when she was about 13 months old, so two months a go, she suddenly started breastfeeding more. It started with an additional morning feed but has…

Am I The Only One… Who Didn’t Bother With Socks Until After 1 Year?
Baby socks. I’ve literally never understood them. They just don’t work. Obviously, I get why they are thought to be useful! Baby feet get cold (usually due to poor circulation as they are growing etc)… but if any of you have tried to get socks on a baby’s foot and actually get it to stay there all day then you’ll know what I’m talking about. They literally stay on for all of 2 minutes. They immediately roll off or slip off. I’ve never found a pair that were suitable for babies under one year old and yet they still sell them?! You go into Mothercare and there they are, all…
